OUR EDIBLE OILS
With crush plants around the world, we supply sunflower seed oil, rapeseed/canola, cottonseed, palm and soybean oil. Palm oil is an important part of our Edible Oil operations. We source mainly in Malaysia, but have also partners in Indonesia and parts of Africa. We are working towards a transparent and sustainable supply chain of this important product by 2020. But besides the refined oils, we also supply crude. With our sourcing, refining, blending, bottling, distribution and supply chain abilities, we are able to serve the retail, food production and service and personal care sectors. An Expanding Global Footprint Since we started out in the now Indonesia, in 1841, we have become a global leader in processing and merchandising of edible oils, oilseed crushing, and consumer pack oils. We work with more than 35+ processing and refining facilities in 8 countries. These include 18 oilseed crushing plants, 11 processing mills. Here we produce crude and refined oil. These production sites have been certified by ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, GMP+ and others. Storage and handling For the storage, handling and transshipment of our edible oils, the port of Rotterdam is an important logistics hub for us, but of course not the only one. Palm oil arrives from Asia, soybean oil and sunflower oil from South America and the Ukraine and rapeseed/canola from Canada. Some of the edible oils are refined in Rotterdam or go straight to the food and oleochemical industry in Europe. We have the same type of operation in Singapore and now also, brand new, in Panama.
